Beth chats with Bishop Phllips of the Derry (NH) Ward as the three of us wait...
and wait...the plane has landed, passengers are coming out of the door - where is Jordan we wonder as we wait...and wait...
and suddenly...
the wait is over, and it has been all worth while. Here he is and he looks...WONDERFUL!
And it just feels so good to see him and hug him.
And we all get just a "little" emotional (Does Heavenly Father feel like this when he welcomes us home?)
And here with the bishop.
What a joyous time.
And then... the movement back to "civilian" life. What's that? A cell phone - don't worry son, dad will show you how it works.
And tonight, October 2nd, 2008? Oh, he is out to a dinner appointment with the Derry missionaries!
And it just feels so good to see him and hug him.

A few minutes of chatting and welcome
And then it is off to see Stake President Thomas Watson. Jordan is still a missionary until President Watson officially releases him. So off we go to the Georgetown (MA) chapel. Jordan goes in with President Watson and we wait, anxiously. We both know that this is going to be hard.
And then we are invited in. President Watson provides some inspired counsel to us, and speaks of the joy of missionary service that Jordan has shared with him. He returns Jordan's name tag, having asked for it as a symbolic gesture of Jordan's transition now from full time missionary to returning to move forward with his life, school, family and future.

Nice blog!! I wondered if you all balled when he got off the plane. How nice to see that you did. He looks good. Lost weight it looks like!! We've had a good time talking to him and are very anxious to see him in December. One more year and you get to do this all over again for the last time!!

Yeah. I'm finally home and get to see the pictures from the homecoming party. What fun. Jordan, we are so glad to have you home again. Now we can call and torture you anytime.

What a fun post! Welcome home Jordan! :) That must've been so exciting. Now just one more year until Aaron comes home, right? Yipee! Way to go Bratt boys :) We miss you guys and hope you're doing great!
After seeing the picture of you with Jordan, I didn't know you had shrunk to 5'4 Ken! Please give Jordan a hug for us, we're very proud of him :)
